Welcome to the Type Your Heart Out International Film Festival!

Type Your Heart Out is an independent film festival located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Our main goal is to give more opportunities for people to be taken seriously in the industry, and a laurel or certificate could certainly help with that. We don't give those out to just anyone, though. Our team of top-level judges reviews all submitted films and shows in our private screening room, selecting only the best of the best to be honored with a prestigious award or nomination. So, just to be clear, these honors are not lightly dispersed to anyone who participates. Our judges are the ultimate gatekeepers of film excellence, so you can be assured that the productions we select are truly outstanding. We want to celebrate creativity, diversity, and independence in productions. TypeYourHeartOutFF is therefore a quarterly film festival. What sets us apart from most film festivals is that we don't decline low budget productions. We will watch every single production we receive with enthusiasm and pride. We know how much effort goes into the creation of each and every creative project, big or small. So rest assured, we will honor your submission with the utmost respect.
